ONCC: 25 Years of Making a Difference!
2011 is a special year for ONCC – the 25th anniversary of oncology nursing certification testing. We’ll be celebrating all year with special events and activities, and we’d like you to participate. Here’s how.
Send Us Your Photos! We’re looking for the Faces of Certification for a slideshow. Send us a photo of certified nurses – either individuals or groups – candid or posed. Please identify the nurses in the photos and where you’re from. Email them to ONCC at firstname.lastname@example.org or send them to ONCC at 125 Enterprise Dr, Pittsburgh, PA 15275. For privacy reasons, please don’t submit photos that include patients.
Read the History of ONCC. Although certification testing has been available since April 1986, the movement to make certification in oncology nursing a reality started well before then. Find out who is still certified. 1,384 nurses passed the first OCN® test, and 160 have been continuously certified since then. Who are they?

And the Winner is . . . . ONCC presented its first certified nurse of the year award in 1994, the first chapter awards in 1997, and the first employer award in 1999. Do you know anyone on the list of winners?
