Advanced Certified Oncology Nurse (ACON) Test Development Committee Call for Volunteers

The Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) is pleased to announce the development of the Advanced Certified Oncology Nurse (ACON) certification. ONCC is seeking seven (7) Oncology Certified Nurses (OCN) to serve on the ACON Test Development Committee.

To participate on this committee, you will have:

  1. A current, active, unencumbered license as a registered nurse in the U.S., its territories or Canada
  2. A master’s degree or higher (required) with a focus in oncology.

 

Participation on this committee is a five (5) year commitment, and the responsibilities include:

  1. Maintain current knowledge related to advanced knowledge and task of an oncology nurse.
  2. Write, review and revise items.
  3. Review and approve examination forms.
  4. Mentor item writers during item writing workshops.
  5. Review and approve reference materials for the certification.
  6. Maintain security of test and assessment related materials.
  7. Maintain current employment in the practice area specific to the credential.

 

If selected, you will attend virtual and in-person meetings. ONCC will pay for travel, hotel, and meal expenses related to in-person meetings.

The first meeting will be virtual March 21-22, 2025.
