Diane Otte Chosen as 2025 Pearl Moore Certification Champion Award Recipient

Pittsburgh, PA, April 16, 2025 – The Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) has named Diane Otte, MS, RN, OCN® as the 2025 Pearl Moore Certification Champion Award recipient. Otte is with the Mayo Clinic Health System – LaCrosse in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.    

Otte is being recognized for the enduring impact of her lifelong commitment and passion for certification. 

Otte’s commitment to volunteering for ONCC has significantly influenced certification test development, financial planning, policy creation, and volunteer engagement. Her distinguished service includes roles such as Chair of the Nominating Committee, Chair of the Appeals Committee, and President of the Board of Directors. She consistently demonstrates professionalism and a passion for excellence, whether guiding individuals through the certification process or working on high-level strategy with ONCC. Otte’s leadership, mentorship, and advocacy have shaped policies, supported countless nurses, and promoted a culture of certification that will benefit future generations.

According to Otte, “I am truly honored and humbled to receive this award. My life has been greatly enriched through all of the opportunities I have enjoyed with ONCC. I have been blessed with many long-term friendships through this work. I would strongly encourage others to pursue volunteer opportunities wherever your passion lies.”

Otte was presented with her award during the ONCC Recognition Breakfast for Oncology Certified Nurses on April 11 in Denver, Colorado, during the ONS Congress.

Certification promotes health and safety by validating competence and ensuring lifelong learning in these fields.
